Paying cleaners is the most reliably annoying recurring task in property management. The work is done in ones and twos across a week, the amounts vary by property, and the payment happens later — usually on a Sunday evening, from memory, against a list somebody assembled from messages.

The cost is not only the hour it takes. Cleaners chase, payments get missed, and reliable people leave for operators who pay promptly — which in a market where good cleaners are the scarcest resource in the business is an expensive thing to be casual about.

Connecting Stripe closes the loop. A cleaner marks the job complete, the payment goes at the rate you configured for that property, and an expense record is created against it. Nobody assembles a list, nobody chases, and the books reflect what happened rather than what someone remembered.

Cleaners link their own Stripe accounts, so you are not holding anyone’s bank details. Stripe handles the payment processing and the security; ProhostAI decides when a payment is owed and for how much.

Once Stripe is connected, payments follow the work. There is no separate payments screen to run each week.

Stripe connects through OAuth. Cleaners link their own Stripe accounts, so ProhostAI never holds anyone’s bank details.

1. Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
2. Search for Stripe and select Connect, then authorise on Stripe’s consent screen.
3. Set cleaning rates per property.
4. Invite your cleaners to link their own Stripe accounts, then enable autopay.

• Cleaners connect their own Stripe accounts. You never hold their bank details, and they control their own payout settings.
• Stripe stays the system of record for payments, and its usual processing fees apply to your account.
• Rates are per property, so set them before enabling autopay — a flat rate across a mixed portfolio is the usual source of disputes.
• Autopay is worth enabling on one property first, so you can watch a full cycle before it covers everyone.
