Overview

Mews is built for properties that behave like hotels: rate plans, spaces, housekeeping, a front desk. Increasingly the operators running it do not have a desk staffed around the clock — aparthotels, serviced apartments, boutique properties with three people covering everything.

That is where the questions pile up. Guests arriving at eleven at night still want to know how to get in; guests mid-stay still want more towels. Neither is complicated, both need answering, and neither justifies keeping someone at a desk.

Connecting Mews gives those questions somewhere to go. ProhostAI answers from the actual reservation — the right room, the right dates, the right arrangements — and turns what needs doing into work for whoever is on shift, so housekeeping and maintenance hear about it without the guest having to find someone.

Setup

Mews connects through its API using credentials from your Mews account. Larger properties usually involve their Mews contact in enabling it.

In Mews, generate an API key from the integrations section of your account.
Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
Search for Mews, select Connect, and paste the key.
Wait for the first sync to finish, then check that your listings and upcoming reservations look right.

This connection is in Early Access. It covers reservations and guest messaging rather than the full breadth of Mews’ hotel operations.
Mews stays the system of record for rates, availability and billing.
Multi-property groups should connect and verify one property before rolling out across the estate.
Disconnecting stops the sync without altering anything in Mews.
