Overview

FreshBooks is aimed at service businesses that bill clients, and management fees are exactly that. For an operator managing properties on behalf of owners, every month produces an invoice built from activity: the fee, the costs advanced, the extras.

Assembling that invoice is the slow part. It means going back through the month to find what was spent where, which is why owner invoices go out late and why some costs quietly never get billed at all.

Connecting FreshBooks lets the invoice be built from the record rather than from memory. Costs land against properties as they occur, the invoice assembles from them, and knowing who has not paid becomes a question you can ask rather than a report you have to run.

Setup

  2. Search for FreshBooks and select Connect.
  3. Sign in to FreshBooks and approve the permissions.
  4. Ask which invoices are overdue to confirm the connection works.

  • Recharged costs need to be recorded as they happen, or they are the ones that go unbilled.
